It might surprise you, but award-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio has taken time out of his busy dating schedule recently to snap up a highly coveted property from market.
DiCaprio, 43, took a page out of his blockbuster The Wolf of Wallstreet and proved his financial savvy by investing $4,91 million in an addition to his vast real estate portfolio. A trust belonging to the actor closed in on the home in late April, and closed the deal just as the month run out. According to the Los Angeles Times, the actor bought the estate for a family member and will not use it for himself.
No matter who will end up enjoying the accommodations, we can guarantee they’ll have a fabulous time. The house has been renovated by the previous owner, famous musician/DJ Moby, before going on the market. The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom English-traditional style house is located in Los Feliz, a hillside neighbourhood in central LA, sits behind a thicket of trees and hedges on a 4,644 square feet property. The house itself has been built in 1929 and still retains many of its charming properties nearly a century later.
Vaulted ceilings and stunning fireplace mantels still show the original designs, but the rooms themselves boost all of the 21st century amenities and designs you would expect in a modern home. The outdoor swimming pool, a spa area, and a recently added outdoor lounge area round up the modern touch that seamlessly fits into the retro property.
For those curious, we have an inside look at the newest acquisition to his portfolio – and who knows? You might just get inspired to redecorate your own home to indulge in a bit of Hollywood-style living!
